Sea Pines Plantation: Destination Resort Living

Sea Pines Real Estate
Sea Pines Real Estate
Sea Pines is the oldest and largest planned community on Hilton Head Island. Founded in 1957 by Charles Fraser, the Master Plan for this community became not only the blueprint for other plantations on the Island, but for thousands of residential communities throughout the world. The key concept of the Master Plan was not only to set aside land to forest preserves, green spaces, marshes, and lagoons but to also ensure that all homes and structures blend in with the natural environment.

Within the gates of Sea Pines 5,000 acres there are approximately 5,800 single family homes, 500 villas, five miles of beaches, three swimming pools, two marinas, an equestrian center, shops, restaurants, over 40 miles of biking and walking trails, and much more. Many homes within Sea Pines are listed on the short term rental market, and the community remains the most popular vacation destination on the Island.

The Golf Courses at Sea Pines

The Ocean Course - Hilton Head’s first golf course was built in 1962 to lure dedicated golfers - and it hasn’t lost its appeal. Set in the heart of Sea Pines Plantation amidst towering oaks and stately pines, this George Cobb design delights residents and guests alike.

Heron Point Course - Formerly called the Sea Marsh Course, Heron Point has been completely redesigned by famed golf course architect Pete Dye. More than just a makeover, this $9 million project brought new hills, slopes, bunkers, and greens to the layout.

Harbour Town Golf Links - "Masterpiece" is the perfect word to describe this piece of golf perfection. Here, beside the lovely shores of the Calibogue Sound, lies this world-class golf course that Pete Dye, in consultation with Jack Nicklaus, designed in 1969. "Unique" is another word that depicts this layout. The home of the PGA Tour’s “Heritage of Golf” Classic.
